SOCKS Support within the SecureSocket Library

Has the status of no SOCKS support within the SSL library changed since Sanket Gupta's post on 2004/06/11? If not, does anybody have any pointers as to how to work around this and get the library connect to a SOCKS proxy server?

SOCKS is not supported by the library, and it will never be.
However, you could port our ProxySocket class to the Security Library.
