Problems with Media components

I'm having trouble with the C# versions of the Media Components. The VB.NET stuff works perfectly but the C# (for instance) fails to load the sound file (no matter what type). I get an error 266, unable to open the appropriate device driver or something????! Very strange.

Did you fully test the VB classes? I have tried to implement multiple (concurrent) sounds using the MCISendString API but after some minutes of use they crash my system. From web searching I found a workaround to bring in the .cOM media player control and use that, but while the crashes quit, it did not work as well as I wanted, so I came here to try the Multimedia classes. Like my own attempts, after some use, the API methods crash my system. I wonder if others find that happening?
